Being Overweight Increases Your Risk of:
• Stroke
• Reversible Pre-Diabetes, which, if left unchecked, can lead to Type 2 Diabetes – a major increased risk factor for blindness, amputation and kidney disease
• Insulin Resistance
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• High cholesterol levels
• Coronary artery disease (atherosclerosis, which is a build-up of fatty deposits called plaque in the innermost lining of large and medium size arteries, causing a heart attack or stroke)
